In Sogndal, the fjord meets the mountain with a calm that is felt in the body, and in the municipal coat of arms it is told with a simple, clear form: on a blue background a rising ship's trunk. The lines can be read as an S, like a river flowing down the mountainside, or like a ski track cutting through the landscape – several interpretations in the same movement.

 This original print is taken from a manhole cover that carries precisely this local identity: traffic, nature and direction, combined in one sign. A quiet, graphic encounter between everyday surfaces and place-based identity, where Sogndal becomes recognizable without shouting loudly.
