Numbered and signed giclée print - Borre
kr2,000.00Price
The name Borre – Old Norse “Borró” – lies like a sounding board under the motif, although the explanation for the name is not entirely certain. Here the manhole cover is transformed into a calm, black-and-white image where the structures in the iron emerge with precision, like a map line over what is usually only passed by.
This giclée print is based on a concrete place and a concrete surface, and carries traces of the municipality's historical movements: Borre as a former municipality in Vestfold, expansions, mergers and name changes - all combined in a motif that is nevertheless sober and timeless.
The print is in an edition of 50.
Diameter approx. 36 cm on sheet format 50 × 50 cm.
