kr2,000.00Price

To mark the 400th anniversary of the Oslo City Fire and the 100th anniversary of the city's name change back to Oslo from Christiania, a unique manhole cover was designed by artist Aina Hartmann in 2024. The original print was created in the Memorial Park at the Church of the Holy Cross in Oslo, Norway, at coordinates 59.906845, 10.769000. A limited edition of 150 Giclée prints has since been produced, all signed and numbered.

These Giclée prints are made on acid-free, museum-quality specialty paper, ensuring an accurate reproduction of the details of the original manhole cover.

The prints are in black and white, with a diameter of approximately 37 cm, and the Giclée technique, known for its durability, provides an authentic and vivid representation of the artwork. Each print marks both 400 years since the city fire that led to the establishment of Christiania, and 100 years since the city regained its historical name, Oslo.
